A stylised painting of Edward Street bathed in afternoon sunlight. Working primarily with yellow ochre and cobalt blue, I sought to capture both the heat of the day and the way intense sunlight can simplify and abstract the urban landscape. Strong contrasts of light and shadow reduce the city to shape, colour and atmosphere, creating a scene that feels both familiar and transformed. This work forms part of my ongoing City Collection.
