Painted alla prima, the portrait is built through strong, definite
marks with no revision or hesitation. Each decision is committed to and
carried forward, allowing the image to resolve through certainty rather than
correction. The process mirrors the subject itself — decisive, direct, and
unwavering — where confidence in each choice becomes integral to the final
presence of the work.
This painting was diplayed in B.lowe gallery in Brisbane as part of a series of iconic portraits. This would be a great gift to any one who grew up with the Chris Reeves movies. An ideal Fathers day gift.
