Artwork Description

I love the work of Tamara de Lempicka, especially her polished Art Deco portraits of aristocrats.
Her goal: never copy. Create a new style, with luminous and brilliant colors, rediscover the elegance of my models. I have tried to be true to
this goal in my Homage to her. Inspiration comes from probably her most famous painting 'Young Girl in Green' 1929.

Artist Bio

Michael now has a long-awaited chance to pursue his passion for oil painting.

These inaugural paintings showcase his exploration of portraiture. Michael’s paintings, Monestial Blue and Mystery Girl, highlight his focus on tonal contrast, while Kiss Me Quick challenges him to paint without the use of white. Through a restricted palette, his other works celebrate the richness of oil colors.

Michael sees great value in studying master artists, interpreting their influence in his unique style. His works, Homage to Dickenson and da Vinci and Homage to de Lempicka, pay tribute to these iconic figures.

Still feeling 21 at heart, Michael embraces this exciting new chapter with the enthusiasm of a budding artist.

He is keen to build on these portraits and welcomes commissions.
