Artwork Description

Here I have tried to capture the contrast between the smoky midnight blues of a moonlit night against the warmth of a crackling campfire. Three stockman have set up camp at the end of a hard days work while one of their horses stays nearby for the warmth of the fire. This is a moody piece that will bring a calming moment to any room.

Artist Bio

Hello everyone, my name is Michael Morgan and I am a passionate artist living with a disability from the Sunshine Coast, Australia.
Art is my passion. My purpose. My everything. It is what gets me through each day and is a real source of motivation in times of need. I am a self-taught artist who is heavily inspired by the impressionist and post-impressionist movement. My journey into art began after being diagnosed with a rare and incurable auto-immune disease. Art became my source of comfort, escapism and companionship. I had found a way of being able to express all my inner emotions onto a canvas in a way that my body was no longer able to due to the debilitating nature of my condition. Art has enabled me a freedom to travel and explore imaginary worlds that bring me immense pleasure in life’s darkest days.
