Artwork Description

For a week straight, I showed up at Windansea Beach in San Diego, waiting for the sky to deliver something worth capturing. The iconic tiki hut stood resilient against the ocean’s breeze, perched on the rugged rocks, its thatched roof weathered by time. Each day, the sky teased with promise but never quite delivered.

Then, on the final evening before I had to leave, the sky erupted in color. Fiery oranges, deep purples, and electric blues painted the clouds, reflecting on the water’s restless surface. I had time for only three shots before the scene shifted—colors fading, the moment passing. Just like that, the magic was gone. I packed my gear, turned my back on the Pacific, and booked my flight home, knowing I had finally captured what I had been waiting for.
