Woodland Nymph

I love anything whimsical, and what could be more whimsical and mystical than elves, fairies and woodland nymphs! This beautiful Nymph has the sweetest expression on her face, I feel like she is in total peace and tranquillity amongst the flowers and trees in her forest home.

There are many fine features to enjoy on this sculpture, like the tiny flowers and leaves, the bird in it's nest with her eggs. Inspirational message: "Wander through life with joy, hope and love in your heart"

Woodland Nymph has been hand sculpted with fine white stoneware clay. Bisque fired, then hand painted in acrylic paints. Then sprayed with satin clear sealer. Made with love in my home studio in Yeppoon, Queensland. Australia.

I am a mixed media artist based in Central Queensland Australia. I have explored many styles of painting and pottery in the course of my 30 year career. I have now settled into my happy place, combining the two mediums.

My passion is creating beautiful artwork onto hand built ceramic pieces, which are mainly constructed using slabs of fine white stoneware.

I enjoy exploring different clay bodies. I employ a variety of processes to apply the art work onto the clay forms:
