Michelle Harvey is a Melbourne-based artist creating atmospheric landscape paintings inspired by dramatic skies, shifting light and wide-open spaces.

Drawn to those moments when the natural world makes us stop and take notice, her work captures the feeling of being witness to something greater than words can easily describe. Rather than depicting a particular place, Michelle responds to the awe of an approaching storm, the last light of day, or the vastness of a landscape that invites us to pause and simply look.
Working intuitively in layers of acrylic, she creates paintings filled with atmosphere, light and a sense of wonder.

She primarily works with acrylics, using expressive marks and delicate glazes with layers to achieve depth and luminosity, evoking the feeling of being within the landscape rather than observing it.
