Artwork Description

Artist Bio

My creativity has evolved since I was a child. I have sold many commissioned works over the past 30years and continue to create today.
I obtain a deep interest in understanding and learning from the natural elements of nature, animals and their connections, which inspires my art journey.
My ability for attention to detail is expressed within all that I create.
I enjoy the process of creating an art piece that can capture the rich layers, a moment of expression, or the connections within the subject/s.
For many years I have run a small business in design and signage, incorporating my artistic skills, and infused fine art works.
With a broad spectrum of creativity, which expands beyond the canvas, my love for art flows through to my gardening, writing, and many other creative layers.
Exhibitions/Art Shows - Some main exhibitions and art show entries over the past 30 years include, Werribee Art Show, King Valley Art Show, Ballarat Begonia Festival Art Show, Artful Yoga Gallery, St. Kilda. Group Exhibition celebrating animals. Ballarat Vegan Festival Art Exhibition at Backspace Gallery - an annual exhibition that I was involved in.
My Paintings - I enjoy using oil on canvas, applying a glazing technique which brings my pieces to life. All canvas pieces are varnished in semi-gloss. I create acrylic paintings on high quality black, or earth toned watercolour paper, infused with ink. Many pieces are also available in print.
illustrations/Drawings - I love to create detailed drawings and illustrations, with a focus on The Garden Journey with my cat, Bernie, and many connections with nature that we have created over the past 15-20 years of an evolving garden space. I am currently working on a book with infused writings and artworks that incorporate all that has inspired me along the creative garden path, with a tribute to our best mate and garden supervisor, Bernie.
I hope to share my inspired journey through my art and help to inspire others.
