‘Migaloo’ the Australian Albino Humpback whale. Migrating from the Great Barrier Reef to cold waters of Antarctica, this stunning whale is predicted to be over 30yrs old with his first sighting in 1991. Migaloo, meaning “white fella” in Aboriginal language has been an Icon of the Australian waters for many years and is protected under the Queensland and Commonwealth Legislation.

Welcome to McRowe Studios!

A little about me..

Artist and educator, I was born in Townsville, having cultural connections to K’gari (Frazer Island) Cherbourg and Darnley Island and am acknowledged by the Wulgurukaba and Bindal people of Townsville & surrounding areas.

A proud wife, mother of 5 & grandmother, I spend a lot of my time at our family 20 acre NQ property, gaining inspiration from the land and my heritage.

I attended Ingham State school, Townsville High School & continued my education obtaining a Diploma in Aboriginal Studies at Pimlico TAFE.

My Art career began teaching Cultural Arts at many local schools, becoming Cultural Coordinator for the Cowboys Rugby League Team with Indigenous Arts programs at home games.

My Artworks at displayed at many local places including QLD Youth Services, Currajong State School, Townsville Central School & Lavarack Barracks where my Traditional Art Skills have been valued for over 18years.

I pride myself in my community connections and am excited for this new step in my career.
