Tribute to Van Gogh

A tribute to Van Gogh's Portrait after his style of Impressionism using long paint strokes and a dynamic colour scheme of blues and greens. Van Gogh is one of my favourtie artists, who's work only really came to be appreciated after his death. A troubled soul who created very memorable artworks while struggling with mental illness.
A very striking and recognisable portrait that adds intrigue to a room.

I’ve always had an interest in art, ever since I was a young girl. I also love nature and surrounding myself with it’s beauty. Capturing it helps to keep the memory that bit more alive when days are overcast and a bit sad. Its great to be able to go through my stock of photos and relive the walks, adventures and joys of discovering the beauty of Tasmania where I’ve lived for the past 20 years.

I grew up in Adelaide which has its own beauty but for me was too busy and took more of a drive to get to be in just nature. These days, my many roles as Artist, Photographer, Mother, carer, art tutor - currently teaching private art classes at Rubicon River Arts Latrobe, 21 George St. I love being able to share my skills of creating art with varying ages and skill level, from Seniors to school children.
