Artwork Description

'The Long Walk' is a photograph taken as part of a personal project entitled 'Soldier and Steed'. This was a series of images taken in conjunction with the Lockyer Valley Australian Lighthorse Re-enactment Group.

It celebrates the history and significance of the Australian Light Horse and its important role in our military history. And the connection between the soldier and his horse.

This piece is presented in quality timber framing with non-reflective glass and is ready to provide a statement piece in any modern or traditionally decorated home.

Artist Bio

I started in photography late in life and still kick myself when I think of all the opportunities missed. After all, I spent 20 years in the Royal Australian Navy and then worked in ex-pat jobs in Africa and PNG. It wasn't until I purchased a decent camera to go on a holiday to Europe with my wife in 2013, that I took a more serious interest. I work on a variety of genres that include scapes, portraiture and action sports. I'm still developing as a photographer and I just need to match the constant inspiration I see with the notion of getting out there amongst it. I hope you enjoy my work.
