Cerro Torre 3128 m, Torre Egger & Cerro Standhardt. A group of three monolithic orange granite pillars that overlook the edge of the Patagonian Icecap.
The weather is notoriously bad here and with a mainly moist maritime air stream. These rock spires grow giant ice mushroom caps that guard their summits. On occasions when the weather relents the pillars glow in the low evening sun, reflecting a range of color through pink, orange, gold and ruby red.
This work captures these remarkable walls as I remember them. This strong powerful pallet will shine against an openly lit neutrally painted backdrop.
