HI, My name is Mikhayla,
I am an Aussie and a mother of two. For the last 6 years, I have had the pleasure of living in tiny Singapore. My two kids, Sophie 4 & Charlie 2, dog, and husband are all Singaporean. In July 2022 we made the move back to Australia and now call Sydney home.
I have always loved a good creative project (pottery being my latest obsession). I am a doer a DIY-er, a ‘why buy that when I can make it’ kind of person, which I think both inspires and drives my husband mad in equal measure.
A few years ago I found a ' bucket list' I had written when I was 10 years old. “To be an artist” was the first thing on the list and the second was ''Write and Illustrate my own children's book”. On that day I decided my dream had waited long enough and so here I am, painting my little butt off.
Using mixed media and oil, I love to capture the expressions and life of animals through colour. I love expressive brush strokes and bright colours. I currently sell my work through word or mouth and on my website and Instagram. Since moving home all I want to do is paint Aussie animals and plants.
