Artwork Description

Millie has painted the 'tinka' meaning 'goanna'. The tinka live in the sanhills throughout the desert and were a staple of the Ngaanyatjarra people's diet when they were living traditionally in the desert. Tinka are still hunted by the women regularly around Docker River country.
