ABOUT THE ARTIST
Melinda Gow (Min) was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. From a young age, she spent many hours exploring with Derwents on cards, paint on murals, and oil painting along side her beloved Nan-Nan.
Min spent her early married life living in rural NSW where she grew a love for the country and incredible landscapes. Now living back in Sydney, she prioritizes regular escapes to the country.
As her children have grown, she has found she is able to refocus on making art. It brings much ‘creative rest’ and joy.
Her inspiration comes from a lifelong love for beautiful textiles, character-filled architectural design, scenic rural areas of open plains & rolling hills and an awe of God’s creation.
She works predominantly with acrylic as well as watercolour & ink. She especially loves country & seaside scenes, flowers & the occasional crazy abstract.
