Mira Corbova — Contemporary Poetic Abstraction
Mira Corbova is a Sydney based contemporary artist, poet and curator whose practice explores light, emotion, identity and the quiet poetry of everyday life.
Working primarily in layered oil, pigment and gold, Mira creates luminous abstract works in which colour, texture and poetic language become a way of expressing what is often felt rather than spoken. Her paintings are intuitive yet considered, balancing softness and depth with a distinctive use of iridescent gold.
Based in Sydney, Mira brings an international and cross-cultural perspective to her practice, having lived and worked across Slovakia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia. Her work has been exhibited internationally and across Australia and New Zealand, including The Other Art Fair Sydney, Shapero Modern London, Parallax Art Fair London and NZ Art Show.
Mira is also the founder and Director of MIRA Gallery in Sydney, an artist-led contemporary art space presenting her own practice alongside selected curatorial projects and collaborations.
Her ongoing collections include Little Stories, Wellness Whispers and Embers of Love.
Let art move you — beautifully, honestly and deeply.
