Artwork Description

Ascend captures a powerful Black-shouldered Kite (Elanus axillaris) in a moment of suspended flight—wings stretched, talons drawn, and eyes burning with intent. The raptor emerges from a stark white void with such clarity, poise, and balance that it feels more like a rendered entity than a fleeting wild moment. The result is a striking fusion of nature and digital stylisation, an image that flirts with the surreal without losing its authenticity.

Limited Edition of 200 of A1. Please allow 10 business days to dispatch.

The kite’s body is perfectly aligned in vertical symmetry, its wings extended with anatomical precision and its fiery orange gaze locked forward. Isolated against a pure white backdrop, the bird feels suspended in space, almost sculptural in presence. This minimalist composition mimics CGI character rendering, where the subject is stripped of context to highlight form, texture, and intensity.

Lighting is soft and evenly dispersed, with no harsh shadows; instead, there are subtle transitions that reveal the feather structure with painterly smoothness. The fine detail across the plumage and talons evokes the texturing of 3D assets, yet retains the organic realism of a high-resolution capture.

Though photographic, Ascend channels digital aesthetics: a luminous void, hyperreal detailing, and colour isolation that emphasises the kite's vivid eyes and golden feet. The image becomes both a portrait and a symbol of grace, control, and wild divinity.

Printed on museum-grade archival paper, each piece is signed, numbered, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Artist Bio

Hi, I’m Mohamed Rageeb, a passionate wildlife and landscape photographer based in Australia. My photography journey wasn’t planned—it was sparked by a chance encounter with nature’s raw beauty while hiking through the wilderness. That moment of awe changed everything.
As I stood surrounded by the untamed landscapes of Australia, I felt an overwhelming urge to capture, preserve, and share the magic of what I saw. When I picked up a camera, I discovered the incredible power of freezing fleeting moments—turning them into timeless visual stories. What began as a casual curiosity soon evolved into an unstoppable passion.
