A self-taught artist, Molly's work draws on human emotions and fantastical elements with the intention of provoking thought and inward reflection. She has produced multiple solo collections focusing on themes of childhood, femininity, and her lived experiences with health and wellbeing. Working within the local Geelong arts scene as the Director of Sequel Gallery, Molly strives to nurture and promote both emerging and established creatives alongside her own creative practice.
Molly has always had a passion for creativity, rooted in a childhood of stealing paintbrushes from her father’s home studio. It wasn’t until the global pandemic in 2020 that she truly delved into her creativity, developing her practice as a method of exploring the emotions of the time.
There are two sides to Molly's work; bright and colourful creations focusing on the nostalgia of childhood, and her newer style taking on darker, fantastical elements rooted in baroque and gothic themes. Molly's shift in style represents that maturation of her life and creative practice as she leans into approaching 30.
