Greg Page (Yellow Wiggle)

It was great news Greg agreed to allow me to paint his portrait. Meeting him confirmed he was a warm and kind person, this I wanted to capture in his portrait. Purposely off centre to make him less imposing at such a large size and no yellow ;)
The work is 150 x 160cm and painted in oils on board and framed in a raw wood floating frame. The process involved two main steps to achieve the intended outcome. Firstly, painting Greg's portrait in a very rough colour block style and then overlaying many circles in varied colours and tones across the piece. The artwork took several months to complete.
