Being in the forest always centres me and brings feelings of calm and peacefulness. I love the abstract shapes of the tree ferns especially when there is a burst of sunlight on the fronds. Looking at this painting brings back the peaceful sounds and earthy smells of the forest and it is my hope that this will be the effect on viewers of the painting.
