Artwork Description

"Colourful Days" is an exploration of the vibrancy and energy that infuses our daily lives, created through the expressive palette knife technique. Using bold, textured strokes and a vibrant palette dominated by yellows and greens, this abstract acrylic painting captures the essence of optimism and renewal. Through this technique, the work celebrates the joy of living, where each day is painted with new possibilities and endless hues of expression.

Artist Bio

Muge Aydin is an abstract artist based in Melbourne with a background in architecture. Her journey into painting began a few years ago, deeply inspired by her mother — a talented artist from Istanbul. Watching her paint as a child sparked Muge’s own passion for creativity and instilled a lifelong love for colour, texture, and self-expression.

Working primarily with acrylics on canvas, Muge builds layers of colour and texture to create a sense of movement, emotion, and depth. Her creative process often begins with a quick sketch, allowing her to translate fleeting thoughts and feelings into visual form before bringing the work to life.

Her style blends abstract forms with occasional surreal elements — where the boundaries between reality and imagination begin to blur. These dreamlike qualities offer space to explore inner emotions and personal stories, turning each painting into an emotional landscape.

Muge’s work is a reflection of her everyday experiences, thoughts, and moods. With each piece, she invites viewers to connect with the energy, stories, and emotions hidden behind the colours and forms.
