Artwork Description

This painting is fully abstract, made with green tones and heavy texture. In the background, there is a hidden city silhouette, and a woman lies stretched across the space. The shapes are not clear at first, but they slowly appear as you look longer.

Green is the main color because it feels alive, fresh, and full of energy. While painting this piece, I felt very happy and energized. I painted freely and followed my feelings instead of a strict plan.

I love this piece because it shows the joy and excitement I felt while creating it.

Artist Bio

Muge Aydin is an abstract artist based in Melbourne with a background in architecture. Her journey into painting began a few years ago, deeply inspired by her mother — a talented artist from Istanbul. Watching her paint as a child sparked Muge’s own passion for creativity and instilled a lifelong love for colour, texture, and self-expression.

Working primarily with acrylics on canvas, Muge builds layers of colour and texture to create a sense of movement, emotion, and depth. Her creative process often begins with a quick sketch, allowing her to translate fleeting thoughts and feelings into visual form before bringing the work to life.

Her style blends abstract forms with occasional surreal elements — where the boundaries between reality and imagination begin to blur. These dreamlike qualities offer space to explore inner emotions and personal stories, turning each painting into an emotional landscape.

Muge’s work is a reflection of her everyday experiences, thoughts, and moods. With each piece, she invites viewers to connect with the energy, stories, and emotions hidden behind the colours and forms.
