Artist Bio

Hello, I am so glad to have you here!

I am a watercolor artist and educator living in Sydney with my husband and two little children. I am originally from Pakistan and love all things creative. I grew up loving art and have always enjoyed painting. I rediscovered my love for watercolors after the birth of my daughter when I got the urge to paint again. I found myself painting more and more during her nap time. It was therapeutic and brought me peace, joy and great personal satisfaction.

Painting began as a hobby. There were ups and downs as I juggled between creating beautiful artwork and motherhood. Even though it would get overwhelming at times, finding moments of peace where I could create magic with watercolors, made me realize that THIS is what I want to do.

As an artist, my work primarily revolves around the depiction of still life, botanicals, and commissions. Through the vibrant and delicate medium of watercolors, I strive to capture the essence and beauty of the subjects I paint.

In my still life compositions, I strive to create a sense of harmony and balance by carefully arranging everyday objects, exploring their textures, colors, and interplay of light and shadow. Each stroke of my brush aims to capture the delicate details and the unique character of the objects, inviting the viewer to appreciate the beauty in the ordinary.

The world of botanicals serves as an endless inspiration to me. Exploring the intricacies of flowers, leaves, and plants, I aim to celebrate the beauty and diversity of nature. My work strives to embody the ephemeral nature of these subjects, capturing their fleeting elegance in a timeless and tangible form.

In addition to still life and botanical works, I also specialize in commissioned house portraits and custom landscapes. These pieces hold a special place in my heart, as they allow me to contribute to the preservation of cherished memories and capture the unique essence of a specific place. By utilizing my expressive watercolor techniques, I breathe life into each stroke, capturing the mood, atmosphere, and personality of the subject. These custom pieces often have personal stories attached to them, making each one an emotional journey that I am honored to embark upon.

Through my artwork, I hope to evoke emotions and create a sense of connection between the viewer and the subjects depicted. I want my audience to feel a sense of joy, tranquility, or curiosity as they explore the intricate details and vibrant colors in my paintings. By embracing the fluid and unpredictable nature of watercolors, I aim to create expressive and evocative pieces that invite viewers to pause, appreciate the beauty around them, and find solace in the simple pleasures of everyday life.

All my paintings are lovingly created in my in-home studio and each painting holds a special place in my heart. It gives me great pleasure when my paintings find a new home with you and give you the same level of joy and satisfaction.

I am so excited to be on this fulfilling path of learning and exploring art and having the support of my family and truly amazing collectors.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoy browsing through my paintings and find the one that connects with you. And if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. I would love to hear from you!
