A group of my handmade blue glass vases were in an exhibition on a glossy white plinth. Sunlight streamed in across the group of objects and highlighted the white tulips. All the glass vases cast soft blue shadows of themselves. A brief moment in time. Framed in contemporary style in natural oak.

Myra is inspired by the natural world, landscape and still life objects. She likes to experience a site first hand to get a connection to and a sense of place about the subject she is researching. She takes photographs, makes drawings and notes on location and processes these back in the studio. Myra has exhibited around Australia, her work appears in public and private collections including the Art Gallery of Western Australia. A graduate of Curtin University and formally a part time lecturer at NMTAFE, Myra has had a long career in art education.
