I am a painter, calligrapher, collage and mixed media artist, living in Perth, West Australia.
I use different mediums, techniques and substrates in my paintings.
I always look for ideas that speak to me and then I use them to spark my imagination, to depict myself and my cultural background.
In many of my works, I use collage and mixed media and each of my paintings has its own individual aesthetic.
I often incorporate elements from one work into another, using my calligraphy skills, building lines, marks, forms and textures from torn fragments of paper, canvas, kraft paper and corrugated cardboard that are hand painted and textured by myself, ensuring every surface reflects my personal process and cultural background.
I have exhibited and contributed to galleries in both Sudan and Perth.
