Nadene Cain is a Brisbane based artist who has been devoted to the arts, fashion and painting. Beginning at just seven years old. She began oil painting Australian landscapes, selling her first piece of art at the young age of 11. Nadene loved illustrating fashion; bridal and ball gowns, landing her a successful career as a junior designer at the age of 15. Nadene went on to continue designing bridal and evening wear. Later on, she was offered a job as head designer for a fashion house, at the age of 19. At 23 years old, Nadene found herself moving to Toronto Canada, where she opened her own bridal salon in the prestigious Yorkville district. During this time, Nadene continued to dabble with acrylics and water colours combining all of her passions. Nadene’s work has inspired the relationship between art, fashion and the female gender. Through the use of oil, water colours and pencils, Nadene’s art expresses the beauty of women, the female body and what the mind endures throughout the entirety of a female’s life.
