I’ve always been an artist and teacher. I can’t really separate the two. I am heavily influenced by the work I am doing with my students and also the work they show me. I guess that’s why I dabble in so many areas and why my work is eclectic. I am curious about everything and love learning. If I find something difficult (health issues for example) I’ll try and work through them, by making artworks and going through the artistic process. At the moment I make lots of new works in the school holidays and embellish them during the term. This is my process for my paintings on linen, canvas and especially the embellished work on silk. My work is influenced by many artists. A special thank you to Irene Lees, Sophie Munns, Delvene Cockatoo-Collins, Lyn Diefenbach. Mostly though, I believe that we are created to create. My Christian faith is infused in my work. I hope it brings a blessing.
