Central QLD at its most iconic, seen whilst staying on a rural property west of Winton; this region is known for the flat-topped mesas, reds and yellows in the soils and rocks, the slim black trunks of mulga and gidyea a contrast. I have accentuated the swirling movement in clouds and landforms here. This painting was accepted in the Winton Outback Art Awards in the year before the devastating fires in their gallery.
