The Pears captures the beauty of ripe pears plucked straight from the tree. Freshly cut, warmed by the autumn sunlight, the pears glow with vitality in the late afternoon.

Hand colouring of etching works harmoniously with the printed detail to bring specific elements to the viewer’s eye.
Each print has been worked over individually in the brushwork and fine detail, they contain minute differences and each print is unique.

Artist Bio

Naomi Antenucci is an award-winning Western Australian printmaker, photographer and bookbinder. Antenucci graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in printmaking, and a Graduate Certificate in Urban Design.

During her career she has won numerous awards, including the $8,000 Cossack Works on Paper Award and the $20,000 Black Swan Heritage Prize. She has thrice been selected as a finalist in both the Black Swan Heritage Prize and the Fremantle Print Award. She was the sole representative for Oceania as a finalist in the 9th International Biennial Print and Drawing Exhibition at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Republic of China. Her diverse printmaking skills have awarded her prizes for both two dimensional and three-dimensional printmaking art techniques.

As well as being an accomplished printmaker Antenucci has explored other art mediums. She was the winner of the GST Category, GSTA Urban Landscape Awards for photography. She is a published children’s author and illustrator, and was a Western Australian Industry and Export Award finalist. She has had representation in both national and international exhibitions with numerous other awards and commendations.
