Artwork Description

‘Afterglow' large ocean abstract was born after a late beach walk during which the dipping sun on the opposite horizon echoed in a dramatic 'reverse' sunset on the clouds out to sea. Naomi uses bold, thick brushstrokes in soft amethyst, periwinkle, blush and salmon to convey the light drenched sky. A mix of rich teal, phthalo blue, turquoise white describe the softly surge of the sea at low tide, lapping awaits the rocky outcrop. There are visibly raised thick sections of paint throughout this work, which will invite you and your guests to lean in to observe the detail. This work forms part of Naomi's 'Oceanic Enchantment' collection.

Naomi Crowther's studio is on the Far South Coast of NSW. She takes cues from cliff and beach walks, snorkelling and kayaking to observe the raw, natural energy of coast, to use as inspiration for her highly collectable artwork.

Full signature on front.
Signed, titled, and dated verso.
Includes a hand signed Certificate of Authenticity.

The thick edges are painted so the artwork seems to wrap around the side, making it ready to hang, or select a gorgeous float frame (before the check out process) and it shall be framed and delivered to your door.
