Artwork Description

Dance of the Lotus Garden' is an original painting, and forms part Naomi's 'Lotus Garden' collection. 'When a breeze meanders over the water garden, the flowers partner with pods and appear to dance to a silent yet happy rhythm between the lotus leaves' - Naomi.

A colour palette of rich olive, sage and teal with blush and ochre, against a textured white background full of little moments that invite you to lean in close. Sweeping brushstrokes and calligraphic freehand marks are evident, in Naomi's signature style. The work is painted in acrylic with details in oil pigment stick and pastel. It has been sealed for protection.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Naomi is a Figurative Abstract artist creating thick joyous botanicals, wild seascapes and emotive landscapes, painted in and around her Eurobodalla Coast studio. Her highly-collectable, vibrant paintings have won numerous awards and her works are in local, national and international private and government collections. Artist Bio

2026 Bluethumb RISING STAR. Naomi Crowther b1973 Kenthurst. Abstract painter living and working on NSW Far South Coast. Exploring effects of time alone in nature on the human condition, which transcends to a greater understanding of the environment, ourselves, our connections and priorities. Naomi is a multidisciplinary artist working in impasto acrylics, metallic leaf, cyanotypes and hand cut paper. BA Visual Arts ANU (first year only). Diploma of Interior Design RMIT. Recently shown at Gallery Alchemy and Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre. A mid-career artist who's work spans three decades. Her poppies series is licensed across several Australian Defence Force memorabilia brands. The latest lotus series is inspired by a sizeable lotus pond at her rural shared studio near Mogo, NSW. Waterways and rugged beaches near her Surf Beach home and main studio influence the artist's coastal abstract works and oyster series.
