'Glorious Green Flora' celebrates the vibrant rampage of wild flora amongst soft bushland ferns in a shaded green gully. Naomi's nature walks take her to places where she absorbs the calm beauty of the bush, then she combines it with memories, translating the mix through her lens and brush (and palette knife) to create vibrant and texturally eye catching one off paintings.
The addition of silver and copper leaf add to the visual delight, especially when lit by a low light source, such a soft lamp, at night. Naomi Crowther's well known Poppy series is revisited in this original artwork, painted using a palette knife and thick impasto paint to create 3D raised petals on the blooms.
