‘Kevin the King Prawn' is a contemporary, gestural abstract of this well known Australian delicacy, the king prawn, painted on 100% linen. Painterly areas tempt the viewer to lean in close. Naomi's sweeping brushstrokes and calligraphic freehand marks are evident in this original abstract art work.

Naomi Crowther's studio is on the Far South Coast of NSW, and she takes cues from a local seafood as inspiration for this artwork.

Her poppies series is licensed across several Australian Defence Force memorabilia brands. The latest lotus series is inspired by a sizeable lotus pond at her rural shared studio near Mogo, NSW. Waterways and rugged beaches near her Surf Beach home and main studio influence the artist's coastal abstract works and oyster series.
