'Lakeside Botanical Abundance' blends coastal colours with metallic hues and delicious textural appeal, creating a fine art quality to this original artwork. Naomi's signature palette knife petals and calligraphic freehand stems are evident in this one off statement piece. Salmon pink blooms have copper centres, and pannacotta blooms have metallic silver centres, which catch the light as you walk by. Gold drips in the background seem to glow when lit, as seen in the close up of the lower left corner. This detailed artwork has a soothing yet energising contemporary coastal cottage feel. There are 175 blooms and buds with over 500 individually applied palette knife strokes.
Naomi Crowther's studio is on the Far South Coast of NSW and takes cues from overgrown coastal gardens as inspiration for this artwork.
