Comes with Tasmanian Oak float frame. ‘Lotus Happy Hour' is a contemporary, gestural fine art abstract, and forms part of Naomi's new 'Lotus Garden' collection. Soothing emerald and olive greens, vibrant ochre and mocha hues plus a dash of granite blue make up the colour palette, surrounded by heavily textured, calming white. Naomi's sweeping brushstrokes and calligraphic freehand marks urge the viewer to lean in close.
Naomi Crowther's studio is on the Far South Coast of NSW, and she takes cues from a local private lotus garden as inspiration for this artwork. 'The lotus garden and its menagerie of swaying leaves, pods and flowers always seem so happy, it's like they are having a secret party' says Naomi, 'The gestural marks in the background remind me of party poppers going off!'
