Naomi Crowther is a figurative abstract artist based in Australia on the Far South Coast of NSW. Naomi is recognised for her two distinct styles, thickly painted poppies and abstract land/seascapes.
Growing up in Kenthurst NSW amongst towering angophoras and sandstone cliffs, she started drawing the local 'banksia men', sundews and gum blossoms as a young girl.
With frequent family caving trips into remote areas and sailing adventures around the Myall Lakes and Pittwater, Naomi developed a relationship with the outdoors that remains intrinsic to her arts practice today.

Naomi studied at the Canberra Institute of the Arts and RMIT School of Design, yet her style is mainly self taught over two decades of painting.

A former writer for Australian Home Beautiful magazine, Naomi is a qualified interior designer, and her paintings have appeared on Foxtel's 'Selling Houses Australia'. The artist exhibited internationally in Brunei, sponsored by Austrade and the Australian High Commission.

Her works are hung in private and corporate collections locally and internationally, including Australian Federal Government offices, hospitals and private businesses plus the Australian Defence Force Academy. Naomi's iconic 'Flanders Poppies' work embellishes Defence Force memorabilia through many outlets across the country.

A move to the Far South Coast of NSW in 2011 created new opportunities and a new muse, the ocean. Her work often depicts sinuous swathes of fish, saying beds of seaweed and abstract seascapes, often with metallic leaf.

Naomi resides in Surf Beach with her family and two rescue cats. 'I really hope you enjoy my work, it certainly gives me great pleasure to paint. For me, it's all to do with the creating. It's all about the art.' - Naomi
