Artwork Description

'Midnight Water Garden Abundance' is a collaboration of Ken Taber's highly collectable water garden and swamp series with Naomi Crowther's painterly abstract botanicals . A mass of lotus leaves sway against cooling midnight blue and teal, with details in moss green, fuchsia and aubergine. Both artists have added their signature elements to this work, making it a soothing, yet invigorating, statement piece.

This work is a collaboration of two artists, Ken Taber and Naomi Crowther.

Hand painted on the Far South Coast of NSW.
Hand signed, both signatures on the front.
Titled, dated and signatures on reverse.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Ken Taber is a self - taught artist born in Richmond NSW in 1942. He paints mainly in acrylics, and has been greatly influenced by JMW Turner, Claude Monet and early Australian impressionistic painters. Ken has painted since 1968 with many solo and joint exhibitions. His works, particularly his signature swamp birds, landscapes and stormy seas, are hung in collections around the world. He resides on the NSW South Coast on a five acre block amidst a lush sub tropical garden.

Naomi Crowther is an abstract artist creating thick botanicals, wild seascapes and emotive landscapes, painted in and around her Eurobodalla Coast studio. Her works are in national and international private, corporate and government collections. As seen on 'Selling Houses Australia'. Crowther’s paintings create a charming and relaxed atmosphere filling the need for original, nature inspired artworks that provide a sophisticated image.

2026 Bluethumb RISING STAR. Naomi Crowther b1973 Kenthurst. Abstract painter living and working on NSW Far South Coast. Exploring effects of time alone in nature on the human condition, which transcends to a greater understanding of the environment, ourselves, our connections and priorities. Naomi is a multidisciplinary artist working in impasto acrylics, metallic leaf, cyanotypes and hand cut paper. BA Visual Arts ANU (first year only). Diploma of Interior Design RMIT. Recently shown at Gallery Alchemy and Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre. A mid-career artist who's work spans three decades. Her poppies series is licensed across several Australian Defence Force memorabilia brands. The latest lotus series is inspired by a sizeable lotus pond at her rural shared studio near Mogo, NSW. Waterways and rugged beaches near her Surf Beach home and main studio influence the artist's coastal abstract works and oyster series.
