'The Lotus and the Seahorse' is a contemporary, gestural fine art abstract, and forms part of Naomi's new 'Lotus Garden' collection. Soothing duck egg blue, sienna and inky charcoal, work in with blush pink and ochre on a textured white background. Naomi's dynamic brushstrokes and calligraphic freehand marks urge the viewer to lean in close. Can you find the seahorse among the lotus leaves, flowers and pods? Things aren't always what they seem, enjoy taking time to pause, and take in the beauty of simply being present in the moment.
Important to note: 4cm deep sides are painted to give that gallery look when unframed. If you select framing (Bluethumb makes this both super easy and streamlined) I suggest the natural oak or black frame.
Naomi Crowther's studio is on the Far South Coast of NSW, and she takes cues from a local private lotus garden as inspiration for this artwork.
