'The Whispers of Trees' describes the calmness I feel after a walk beneath these giants. Sometimes I'll think 'Gosh, you're a real old beauty' then the branches sway slightly in the breeze, like a sign of appreciation. I often wonder what the trees would think if they had thoughts. One of the lines in the hand written background is 'She looks content today, and she always smiles when she sees the insects on the flowers of those tall grass trees.' The words are hard to discern, but like whispers, you can make some of them out if you concentrate.
Time spent in nature is the main theme of my work, exploring the positive effects of the natural world on the human condition. 'To be in nature helps me to reflect deeply on the world around me, connections within it and with each other, about what is important to me and why.' - Naomi
