Thanks for looking at 'Wild Flower Joy' - I've painted this original piece with thick impasto acrylic giving the petals a 3D quality. The flower centres feature reflective metallic leaf to catch the light. The main colours are fresh garden green highlighted with crisp blue and rich emerald, ochre and white.
Naomi Crowther's well known Poppy series is revisited in this set, painted using a palette knife and thick impasto paint to create 3D raised petals on the blooms. Metallic painted flower centres catch the light from across the room.
Naomi has been chosen as a 2026 Bluethumb Rising Star. Her studio is on the Far South Coast of NSW and takes cues from coastal gardens as inspiration for this artwork.
