'Wild Salmon and Seaweed' showcases the magic of the ocean from a swimmer's point of view. When I'm in the water, with seaweed swaying and schools of fishing jumping, I feel like the world is beautifully balanced, as worries melt away and the magic of the ocean takes over. I used seaweed from my local beach as studies for this original pair, using the age old cyanotype process to capture the shapes of the seaweed.
Naomi Crowther's studio is on the Far South Coast of NSW and takes cues from coastal beach walks and snorkelling as inspiration for this artwork. Naomi has been chosen as a 2026 Bluethumb Rising Star.
