A 2026 Bluethumb Art Top 100 and Rising Star artist, Naomi Crowther trained at RMIT Design School and ANU Institute of the Arts. She is an established contemporary Australian artist living and working on the NSW Far South Coast.
Her richly layered paintings explore the beauty of the natural world, from rugged coastlines and tidal waterways to 'en masse' botanicals and birdlife. Working with expressive impasto acrylics, metallic leaf, cyanotypes and hand-cut paper, Naomi creates textured works that capture the passing of time, shifting light and our connection to place.
With over three decades of creative practice and a background in interior design, Naomi brings an instinctive understanding of colour, texture and atmosphere to her work.
The award winning artist has exhibited at the Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre, Gallery Alchemy and Aarwun Gallery, with work held in private and government collections in Australia and internationally including the Australian Defence Force, public hospitals, schools and licensed collections.
