Artwork Description

This monochrome fine ink drawing was inspired by the grandeur of the historic Indiana Teahouse on Cottesloe Beach. With a long history of the iconic teahouse dating back to the first pavilion in the 1920s, I felt the monochrome style suited this drawing perfectly to capture its historical significance.

Artist Bio

Naomi Clare’s paintings tell stories. As a previous self-published author, and receiving a commendation for poetry, Naomi paints with passion and avidity, hoping others can see the poetry and prose in her artwork. Naomi is particularly influenced by the post-impressionist movement and she draws on the natural world around her to drive her inspiration for her diverse collection of paintings. She is mostly an abstract/semi-abstract artist. Naomi loves colour and texture and broad brush strokes, never shying away from applying different techniques to her artwork.
Drawing is also a passion of hers stemming from her love of nature, being out in nature and bringing the outside in.
