Artwork Description

This abstract expressionist piece was created with raw emotion. Sometimes losing something in life gives us the opportunity to find something new, hence the title "Peripheral" meaning situated on the edge or periphery of something. The bold colour and large brush strokes evoke power and meaning leaving the viewer awed by the shape and contour. This painting would look great in a dark frame and act as a statement piece in any room.

Artist Bio

Naomi Clare’s paintings tell stories. As a previous self-published author, and receiving a commendation for poetry, Naomi paints with passion and avidity, hoping others can see the poetry and prose in her artwork. Naomi is particularly influenced by the post-impressionist movement and she draws on the natural world around her to drive her inspiration for her diverse collection of paintings. She is mostly an abstract/semi-abstract artist. Naomi loves colour and texture and broad brush strokes, never shying away from applying different techniques to her artwork.
Drawing is also a passion of hers stemming from her love of nature, being out in nature and bringing the outside in.
