Artwork Description

Sailing boats represent much of the directions in life we choose and as a source of light in the darkness, the moon symbolizes illumination, insight, and guidance.

This spiritually voyage-inspired artwork celebrates the wisdom of the soul’s journey. Anchored in stillness the boats await for their next journey. Guided and directed by intuition, wind and moon.

The endless dreaming, freedom, travelling, ethereal inspiration of living well in romance and hope are the feelings, I can’t explain, but I know they always come when I see boats on the horizon, and they make me feel good.

I have seen many moonrises but not so many moonsets. We have been travelling around Australia that time and the memory of this moonset morning inspired me to capture it. That day we got invited by one lady I met on the beach while watching the moonset for a spontaneous breakfast at her place and later on another local family invited us for a lunch and boat ride. Despite the fact that it was Australian Day, I feel something changed in us as a result of this moonset, and perhaps in awe of it, we were able to give and receive the sense of a pleasant connection.
