My name is Natalia Kamenskaia.
I am a Russian-born visual artist and sculptor based in Bairnsdale, Australia. I love drawing, painting and sculpting but I also teach Visual Arts in local Primary School.
At this moment of time, I do a lot of different kind of drawings. Some of them just little illustrations, some fantasy drawings. My work has always had a strong narrative and included elements of fairy tales. Its change my reality makes it a dream-like, that you can come in and out of this magical world but you are welcome to be my guest. I incorporate witty stories that are allegorical in my work and I let my imagination take over. The fairy tales can bind the unbound. It also allows me to share my Russian cultural background with all its richness and beauty. I lived in Australia for more than 28 years, but I carry in my heart great Russian fairy tale, which helps me to live and feel at home even away from it. I would like to show the dimension of life through cultural perception. Artist lives in a search of cultural and personal identity.
