This stunning abstract rose painting will make a beautiful addition to your home or office. It's vibrant colours and delicate details ensure it will be a show-stopper anywhere you hang her!
'A Little Road to Heaven' has layers and layers of mark-making, textures and colour. If you scroll through to the close-up photos of this painting, you will be able to see some of the background layers peaking through the mainly white background. Shades of plums, purples, ochre, burnt sienna, grey, various shades of magenta and pink with a pop of fluorescent magenta, as well as mark-making in pencil, pen, and paint. The roses have been hand drawn onto music sheet paper, and then a series of what I call 'dotting work or pointillism' is applied around the edge and some of the inside of the roses to give this piece an even more 3D effect.
In the top right-hand corner of this painting, I have also added a torn sheet of music paper with the title 'A Little Road to Heaven' (from the song of the same name), however as the canvas has a base layer of molding and crackle paste, my signature and the title are hand written on to the back of the painting.
The canvas has a base layer of molding and crackle paste, so the name and title are written on the back of the painting.
