Hello there! My name is Natalie, and I’m from Perth Western Australia. I’m a busy mum of 2 beautiful girls, and also work in the resources and energy sector. Whilst I have always loved painting, it’s never been a priority for me until I had a reasonably significant mental health episode after the birth of my second child. Reclaiming the spare room as my studio was the absolute best decision! It’s my space to relax, to be mindful, to be all messy and fun. Art is now part of my life, and I love it.
My style is almost always abstract and impressionistic in nature. I really struggle painting “actual” things, it’s far to restrictive for me. I love painting large format and experimenting with lots of colour. My formal training in interior design drives a lot of my concepts, choosing colour palettes for interiors is an aspect I thoroughly enjoy.
