Urban Nights 1

The picture depicts a late evening in a historic town. Few are still awake, however several walk the streets. Are they homeward bound, or on their way to other nocturnal adventures?
The painting has been made on canvas board with acrylic paint, rendered in layers to deepen the tone and shade.

I have to paint. When I’m not painting, I’m thinking about painting. What image to capture, how to depict it, what colours to use, what am I trying to say? My painting is a constant process of trying, testing and always learning.
