When you feel pulled in different directions, look to the plum blossom, a symbol for resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity.

Inspired by Xu Bing, the faux Chinese calligraphy was constructed from English letters, with each character forming the words “Choose your own path”.

This painting is a fusion of traditional Chinese influences with the contemporary trend of texture art, embodying the struggle of holding conflicting values, but also celebrating the synergy that can result from being open to embracing these differences and creating something new. I hope this painting inspires you to "Choose Your Own Path".

My work is like me. A fusion of East and West, a mishmash of traditional mediums and experimental techniques, the synergy that comes from embracing perfect imperfection.
